In my opinion Belgium is a very important country in Europe as the home and because they speak three different languages.

Leonhard Euler aunque su nombre entero Leonhard Paul Euler fue un matemático y un físico muy respetado. Este matemático nació en Basilea, que esta en Suiza el 15 de abril de 1707, aunque no fue allí donde murió sino en San Petersburgo , que se encuentra en Rusia, el 18 de septiembre de 1783.
Se lo considera uno de los más grandes matemáticos del siglo XVIII(18) y como uno de los principales de todos los tiempos.
La mayor parte de su vida Vivió en Rusia y Alemania y realizó descubrimientos muy muy importantes en distintas áreas, por ejemplo el cálculo o la teoría de grafos. También introdujo gran parte de lo que es ahora la terminología y notación matemática, sobre todo para el área del análisis matemático, como por ejemplo la noción de función matemática. También se le conoce por sus trabajos en las áreas de la mecánica, óptica y astronomía.
Euler ha sido uno de los matemáticos más productivo, y se dice que sus obras enteras reunidas podrían ocupar entre 60 y 80 volúmenes.
Se dice que Pierre Simon Laplace expresa la influencia de Euler en esta frase: «Lean a Euler, lean a Euler, él es el maestro de todos nosotros.»
En recuerdo suyo, Euler ha aparecido en la serie sexta de los billetes de 10 francos suizos, como este: 
También ha salido en muchos sellos para postales tanto suizos como alemanes y rusos como los siguientes: El asteroide (2002) Euler recibió ese nombre en su honor.
